Well, everyone, as it turns out, there are so many fake profiles of me on Facebook that the boneheads over there can't keep it straight and they have deleted my ACTUAL Facebook page (you know, the one that you've all been checking).
Please be patient as I deal with this mess, and feel free to write a letter to Facebook asking them to restore my page and delete all the fakers.

I also read that it has to be done within 14 days or you lose everything. I'm hoping that they have only deactivated your account, so that you can get both back (since you need an account to run a page).
The irony of it is pretty amusing (sorry!), but I hope those FB buggers wake up and delete the right page next time.
If that doesn't work, I know someone who has a contact at Facebook...
And omg, please don't make a twitter instead!! haha.

ReplyDeleteI don't think as many people check your blog as often as they check your Facebook accounts, and most of them wait for you to mention on your Facebook that your blog is updated, so some of us will try to spread the word on other sites and forums. There a good number of people who are already making comments afraid you're gone from social networking and that you've disappeared and there's no way to support you or get information.
Some of us will link this site and help set them straight.
You already do more than enough to stay in contact with all of us, and unselfishly so, and there are no words to express the gratitude for it, so this is not said in greed for the most part (although I've come to really look forward to all of your daily updates random or informational), but might I suggest you join Twitter or if not Twitter, try something else in the interim if it's really going to be 14 days before FB handles anything.
Everyone is so looking forward to all of your status updates about life, filming OTH, the concert, and particularly looking forward to updates as time closes in on The Corn Palace Festival and the premiere of the new season.
You also have so much going on with all of your projects it's become easy with you being "around" for people to look to you to be the source and last word on anything from Everly to OTH.
It's possible you'd have a much farther reach for the days your FB is down if you considered doing that, given how many people tweet now, and you'd have a way to guarantee that when snafus like this happen, you can still very quickly and easily get whatever message you want to out to more of a mass quantity of people. Just an idea.
Thank you for stopping to take pictures with fans today. My friend's friend waited in the heat like a crazy person but it was all worth it to her because she got to meet you and said you were a delight and it was especially hot out and you didn't let it effect your kindness.

Hello,Joy I was kinda hoping you can help me,on how I can get backstage passes for the concert in August so I would be able to meet you.It would really make my year and a great b-day gift.My mother found out about 10years ago she had breast Cancer she went through all the treatments and the Cancer went away until now she might have it back..And my family has been through tragedy we have lost 6 family members to Cancer..In the episode on TH when we found out about Lydia had Cancer and the kind she thats what my grandfather past away from it was had for me to watch but I did it brought back memorys..I listen to your music every day it helps to relax me.So I hope to hear back from u I know u r very busy..xoxo

ReplyDeleteSorry i havent posted anything lately, i just had a crazy year and i just lost sight of the little things i used to live for, like reading all of your posts! it wasnt until a few days ago that i kind of found myself again. i had been a bit depressed to, and i had lost sight of who i am, i just felt like i was just another person, who doesnt matter to anyone. but i recently just started watching you on one tree hill again, and listening to your music, and i feel so much better, i feel like i have something to live for, like theres a hope for me to actually make a difference to someone, like you do every day. i never realized how much i needed that little motivation. when i listen to your music, or watch you act, i see a stunningly talented, beautiful, inspiring, completely amazing young woman who i look up to in every way, and then i see how you've been able to follow your dreams, no matter how hectic it's made your life, and make a difference to so many people around the world. It makes me unafraid to be myself, and not conform to what everyone thinks i should be, it makes me want to live my life to its fullest, and to follow my dreams too. thank you so much for giving me something to live for again.
You know, i feel like when i find that peace within myself, it helps me too. i find that whenever i meditate, or take a step back from everything and look at it from a different view, i feel a lot better. its not too often we find silence in our lives, so sometimes i think we need to make our own inside of us. no one else can intrude into our being, thats always going to be our quiet place whenever we need to think something through, or if we ever need to just take a break from the commotion of life. Sometimes its easy to forget its there, but it always is, and always will be.
I was wondering, what inspires you to write your music? Not just the lyrics, but also the instrumentals behind everything. Do you just know whether to use the guitar, or the piano, or both, or maybe another instrument? I was just wondering, because when i listen to your music, i always feel motivated to go and play on my piano or flute, even if its just goofing around. Only your music does that for me though:)
Also, i've been so sad about not being able to go to your concert at the corn palace on aug 29th. i want to go so badly, but i just can't afford to travel all the way to south dakota. i am really hoping that one day you'll come to canada, maybe to ottawa, or toronto, or another big city. then i could finally see you perform in person. that would be the best day of my life... so do you think that you'll ever play anywhere other than in the states? i'd just like to know so that if you aren't, i can start saving all my money so i can travel farther than canada:)
well, thank you so much for everything you've done, you're a real motivation and inspiration to me. i hope that you'll be able to find that place of peace within yourself more often as well, and, believe me, im trying too. Oh congrats Joy! I just read that you're pregnant. I'm so happy for you. You'll be a very good mom. I also read that you won't be in the last episodes (13 & + ) of the season 8 because of your pregnancy... :( I hope that it's only a rumor because Haley is my favourite character and I want her in the show until the end.
