Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi guys! Don't have too much to say except that I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving with people you love and good food! I made a vanilla-infused Cranberry Chutney with blueberries, and a Sweet Potato/Goat Cheese/Hazelnut/and Wilted Collard Greens salad. Yummy!!!! What's your favorite Thanksgiving recipe??

So good to hear from you again Joy :) looks like you had a wonderful thanksgiving with your fam, and the food sounds delish, awww wish i could taste your cooking :)

sadly we don't celebrate thanksgiving here in the philippines, but a neighboring town had their fiesta and it's tradition for people to go to wherever the fiesta is, LOL. although this year we didn't but since we know people from there they sent us whatever food they have, and so we got tons of different dishes at the end of the day, i think we'll have food to last us a whole week LOL ain't that nice? :)

Hope to hear from you again soon, it always brings a smile on my face seeing you post and update your blog.

Thank you for taking the time out :)
Take care, God bless!
Luv,
xoxo SheenaNastaja from the philippines.

Hello,

My favorite thing to have for thanksgiving is deviled eggs. It is not Thanksgiving until I have eaten them. My sons favorite yesterday was the black olives. He put them all on his fingers just like I did as a kid. Your recipes sound great! We didn't do anything that complex. Just hung out with the family. I think you are amazing and I love your music. I listen to "Feel This" every single day. Literally. Thank for everything you do.

Hello Joy,

Since thanksgiving has already happened Happy Belated Thanksgiving! I'm actually in Florida so my family celebrates it. This year was really fun. My whole family showed up. There was like 10 of us and if you count the dog we had here then that's 11. The dog was actually given a plate with the thanksgiving feast my Mom cooked.
My favorite thanksgiving recipe is a toss up between the pumpkin pie my older brother's girlfriend made and my Daddy's green bean cassarole. Anyways I hope your thanksgiving was good and full of your loved ones.

XOXO,
LisaBee

Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your family!

Please post the recipe for your salad! Sounds amazing!

Our Thanksgiving including family, friends and a lot of laughs (and wine). Hope yours did as well. The William-Sonoma recipe for roasted fall harvest vegetables (sweet potato, parsnips, acorn squash) seasoned with cinnamon and turmeric was amazing. Finishing the night off with pumpkin ice cream and baked fruit/homemade granola! Yum!

Happy holidays

Hey Joy! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I celebrated a month ago because I'm Canadian, but my favourite thing is probably Nutloaf. It sounds so dorky, but it's SOOO delicious! A good turkey substitute.

I love that you took the time to say hello to everyone on Thanksgiving. Really sweet. Good to hear from you again!

Oh, and your new layout is really cute! And interesting, LOL.

Much love,
Julie

PS. I don't know why, but something happened to make commenting less easy. It took me awhile to figure out how to scroll down after the comment box... it's hard to explain. I had to highlight some stuff in order to go down and it only worked for me in Safari.

I know a few people have said they've had this problem of scrolling while commenting.

Much love again! Julie

Hey Bethany,

I live in Scotland so I don't actually celebrate Thanks Giving, and don't exactly have proper meals/dinners so I wouldn't of even celebrated it anyway, however on FaceBook I did say 'Happy Thanksgiving in the US' :) lol if that count's for anything?!

Hope your well

All my love,

Hey Joy!!

Well, I'm Canadian so Thanksgiving was in early October, and I don't think me eating KFC in my car counts as a wholesome Thanksgiving dinner, but one thing I realized tonight that I missed was apple crisp (or apple pudding)... oh, I could go for some apple crisp and vanilla ice cream right now..

Thanks for posting! I hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving. The food you made sounds amazing. I need some ideas for a Christmas dinner potluck, so if you could cook something easy for us, that'd be great. lol.

xoxo Steph

Anyway, it sounds like you had an amazing holiday. Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy day to tell us what you're up too! Have a great weekend <3

Hi Joy!!
We normally wudn't celebrate Thanksgiving in South Africa, but i'm currenlty teaching in South Korea so i celebrated with my American friends. We all had such a great time!! Everyone missed their families and 'real' food:), but we were just so thankful that we had met each other and became such good friends!! I made a tuna cassarole, that actually tasted ok considering the limited ingredients that i had to work with:)
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving with your loved ones!! God Bless!!

Hey,

Sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and delicious dishes. It is a toss-up for my favorite Thanksgiving recipe it is between my Uncle's mashed potatoes, or my cousin's hash brown casserole. However my favorite part of Thanksgiving is getting to see my whole family together, this year we had 20 people show up for dinner and we all ended up at one makeshift table, it was wonderful, and it is never a bad thing to be able to miss school too:) I also LOVE watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, it is a must!! I hope you have a wonderful holiday season filled with joy, no pun intended (really I didn't mean it to be a punny). Happy Holidays!!

Hey Joy,

That chutney sounds simply delectable!!!
Unfortunately in Australia Thanksgiving is not celebrated, though I really do believe this should be rectified...any day that involves eating laboriously amongst company is a good day.

p.s love the picture.

Hi Joy!

The blog looks great. It is also very sweet of you to think of your fans at Thanksgiving. Like many other countries, we do not celebrate Thanksgiving in Belgium. So it is hard for me to imagine how you celebrate it, but it seems very nice.

I also want to say that I love season 7 of OTH so far .. I am really looking forward to today's episode, which I will see tomorrow in Belgium. The rest of December and January I will comfort myself with my dvd's, I guess .. =D

Lots of love,

Astrid (Belgium)

Hi Joy!

Happy Thanksgiving! I live in Canada, so we celebrate Thanksgiving earlier. I don't really have a favourite recipe, we usually just have turkey, and stuffing, and other stuff like that :P. Nice and simple!

I wish you all the best!

Love you forever

So I realize that I stayed at the fair too long and am a little late joining this Thanksgiving recipe party, but hey....better late than not at all!

My favorite dish this time of year goes really well for Christmas too. It's a Cranberry-Apple casserole. (The casserole is the Minnesotan in me, ha!) Anyways, it's made with fresh cranberries, sliced apples, a squeeze of lemon juice, powered sugar and topped with an oatmeal crust. It's always a staple in my house. The holidays aren't complete without it. That being said, and all this food talk has got me wondering if perhaps you could share the chutney recipe. I'm not familiar with the one you mentioned and would love to give it a crack. Blessings to all during this season!

The vanilla-infused Cranberry Chutney with blueberries, and a Sweet Potato/Goat Cheese/Hazelnut/and Wilted Collard Greens salad sound amazing. How do you make them?

My aunt makes a wonderful Blueberry Delight and Sweet Potato Souffle. They are probably my favorite recipes.

Hope to hear more about your upcoming holiday plans/recipes.

Hi Joy! I want to wish you and your family happy holidays! Stay safe.

I want to offer my (free) services to re-design your website/blog. Using a real Content Management System such as WordPress (http://wordpress.org/), making it more professional. WordPress is installed on your server and is very easy to manage. It has a lot of options and plugins to make your site more enjoyable for fans and the authors of the website. The Blogger.Com platform is not ideal for an official website. The commenting feature is not fan-friendly because it's not everyone who has a Blogger account, or LiveJournal, etc. With WordPress, they simply enter their name, email (private) and URL (if applicable), it's available to everyone.

I manage singer/actress/dancer (more recently Michael Jackson dancer) Mekia Cox's official website (http://mekiacox.com/). You may remember her as Faith in season 3 of One Tree Hill. I designed everything from scratch and use WordPress. I work with the client to create something unique that they will enjoy and be proud of.

I would like to specify that there are no fees, everything is free. It would be my pleasure to volunteer for you.

For questions, my personal email is kindlyunspoken85@gmail.com. I would be honored to assist you in the future.

Hey Joy
Thanx for keeping us all updated every now and then. I admire your music heeps but i can't find where to buy it on disc, because I'm living in Australia and none of your or Everly's music can be bought - and I would rather the official albums than the itunes albums. Anyway, over here we don't celebrate thanksgiving but we do Christmas...So, Merry Christmas to you and all your loved ones.

BTW...love the music from Fireside and hope to here more great stuff in the future

Goodluck,
